Mercia Detective
Agency was originally formed
in 1980, and in it's early days operated from Perry Barr in Birmingham.
Many international cases were completed in these early days,
however, as times change so did the type of instructions
received. The bulk of the workload was moved into the commercial
centre of Birmingham, where criminal defence enquiries formed
a large part of the day-to-day activities. Having moved it's headquarters
to the Worcestershire town of Kidderminster, with a satellite office in Birmingham,
Mercia's HQ has again returned to its Birmingham roots in Great Barr,
with the office in Kidderminster currently under the management of Ben J. Hope. John. F. Hope, Private Investigator - Managing Director

Detective Agency, John
was raised and educated in Birmingham and joined the Merchant
Navy upon leaving school. He spent 4 years sailing the world
for a New Zealand Shipping Company and upon leaving became
involved within the International Haulage Industry. John holds
a class 1 H.G.V and a certificate of competence in road haulage
industry management.

John then became a Project Manager for a
company (STG Limited) specialising in very abnormal shipping
and road haulage movements around the world.
After training in surveillance John spent
a period of time as a Territorial Army Trooper , and was on
an operational tour in Malta involving 'close protection'
duties, after which he returned to his home city to form the
Mercia Detective Agency.
Today, as well as the hands on management
of Mercia Detective
Agency, John is a member of Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, Rotary
International & Wyre Forest Business Club.
Our Private Investigators

Detective Agency, only
employs operatives that have completed the course with The
Academy of Private Investigation with on site training. The
aim is for each investigator to obtain a GNVQ in Investigation
and a licence to operate.
Our investigators operate anywhere you require,
and with the associations we have formed we can task a suitable
investigator within minutes of receiving your instructions.
